Social media
Waiting in a long line at a theme park Instagraming funny pictures, up-dating facebook statues, tweeting complaints about the long lines. Not really enjoying the moments with family and friends. Social media has changed today’s society into walking talking robots with technology glued to our fingertips.
Teens today are having a lot of communication problems due to our social media today. A lot of our younger generations are so obsessed with the social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that they are losing their sense of interaction skills in society, certain interaction skills that will be needed further down the road in life. I do feel that teens are hindering themselves by engaging so much into social networks that they are not able to comprehend certain situations when they occur because of their lack of face-to-face human interaction. For instance have you ever sent a text message to someone and the person take it the wrong way? Like texting a friend, “Hey girl!” and get a response back like “Girl, What you want?” and take it offensively, but in reality it was a joking statement. Social media has taken away the face-to-face interaction with actually knowing the persons’ emotional intent.  A whole conversation is misconstruting because of not knowing the emotion behind what was being said. “Research center found that teens are actually relying on texting more than social interactions 54% and face-to-face 33%. That also shows that half of them send at the least 50 texts a day and a third more than 100 a day”(Welch.)
Communicating through Social Media has become very detrimental to society as a whole. “A study done by UCLA states that 93% of communication effectiveness is determined by non-verbal clues”(Collmeyer). This means that communicating via through e-mail, texting, and dating websites are taking over and hindering us a society.  Situation can be different face-to-face because you can see the others facial expression and hear the tone of voice rather than words on screen. According to licensed professional counselor jared pizzitola, ”very important social sills develop form difficult face to face conversation. And it is a very important to understand behavior. (Brocdie) I do feel that face-to-face situations can be a build a bond faster than an online chat.
Social media does have it’s own benefits when used at the appropriate times. People today use social networks to reunite with their families, long distance to stay in touch in more ways than one with applications like Facebook and Skype, letting them talk and see loved ones from a far. Businesses also use social media to network business throughout the world, updating news on upcoming events or promotions, adding more revenue to the business. Social networks can hinder all types of relationships, by using non-confrontational tactics through cell phones and computers because it is easier for some people to express their emotions through a text message or e-mail, then face-to-face confrontation. It is easier to express ones feelings via text or e-mail with no disruptions from the other person, which I feel can still cripple a persons human interaction with society.
However we do not really realize how much our society today is really involved with social media because it has become an everyday part of life. Most people cannot even leave their homes without their cell phones or else they feel completely lost. While social media was invented to help make things easier for us, we have lost sight of how it also is crippling our future and us.

“The longer you look at an object, the more abstract it becomes, and, ironically the more real.” said Lucian Freud. Day by day art surrounds me and I believe that a picture is worth a thousands words. The pictures captured represent snap shots of my past and have taken parts of who I am today and by that these pictures can tell you short stories of my life.
This old white house in the though history photo by Brittney Goodwin reminds me of when I would visit my grandma in Idlewild MI it is an old historic community. This place would change your life forever a place so peaceful you can see the animals running ever so free. There are nice people to not only live by but people u could also call family. The white building reminds me of the library in idlewild. I could just go back to when I was a little girl running and playing outside in the dirt roads with the nice summer breeze. Playing around with my grandpa twirling me up in the air and catching me in his arms. Seeing this photo takes me to the sent of no other old man and apple pie the pie my grandma was always baking.
A rose by any other would smell so sweet. By William Shakespeare describes the roes in black and white by Catherin Williamson real garden. Seeing this photo send chills down my spine knowing it symbolizes love the rose dose not have to be red to represent love I could just close my eyes and think of when my first real love gave me one single rose. The feelings were wonderful and unscramble feeling .the sent of his cologne lingered in conjunction with this single flower representing our 1st love as one.
Looking at this picture of the Chevrolet classic by alikellett reminds me of my first brand new car. The new fresh car smell and that shinny black paint. The dark cool tent on the windows thru it over the edge along with the leather around the steering wheel, with the charcoal seats. That feeling is one of a kind I had butterflies in my stomach when driving it off the lot. Having my first vehicle gave me the big sense of freedom. Like the world was mine. I don’t think I could ever forget the feeling of my hands on the stirring wheel for the 1st time .it was every thing I could dream of and more.
Looking back at these photo sent chills thru my spine with a recap or wonderful memories .Those wonderful memories are all was with me a thing like smell and photos will trigger these grate memories. These were grate three really good memories that I really enjoyed in my life and was happy to look back on my life. The photos the real garden, through histoy, and Chevrolet classic are grate photo that can give good memories to any one in different ways.

My experience in Enc1101 was a little tough for me only because I do
not like English and I have to give it my all and I always think
things can be better. I did gain strength in my writing by expanding
my writing because all of our papers and journals had to be 5 pages. I
also learned to outline my paper when I was done writing my paper.
Outline my paper helped me a lot to make sure I had every thing in
every paragraph because our instructor had special request in every
paragraph like all 5 senses had to be in 3 paragraphs. But not only
did I gain those wonderful things I gained the ability on writing in
first person and third person with my writing witch was a challenge.
The class did not have much structure. There was not much teaching
there was just lots of writing and watching 60min. She just gave us
topics to write on and then class was over she was a tough instructor
because u never new what to expect when you got your paper back. The
structure of the class was not good at all but I did survive thanks to
my previous knowledge. I do feel I need a lot more assistance in my
writing on comma splice and run-on sentence. There is always room for
improvement and I am open to every thing to help me succeed in this
class and gain strengths to move on in my degree.
